01/05/2004 - What happened to Lisa in 2003 ?
As we thought in the end of year 2002, Lisa has retired from the World Championship Tour during last year after the first WCT event, the Roxy Pro Gold Coast in Australia. She was eliminated in round 2. Check the WCT section for rounds details.
But she still lives for professional surfing as she's been contest director for many Roxy events in the 2003 season. Here are the contests she's directed :

>> The Roxy Pro France - Hossegor, France - WCT
Here is what Lisa said during the Roxy Pro France press conference : "I'm really happy to be here and represent the girls as the contest director of the Roxy Pro," said Andersen. "Out of five events this year Roxy sponsor three, and we're really stoked about that. Last event was in Fiji and I was there with the girls and we had a wonderful time. I'm really looking forward to being their voice, and working with Rod (Brooks) and Charlie (Puyo), and hopefully we'll get some waves this week. I love France and this was a great opportunity for me to come back and be part of everything."

Apart of that, Lisa appeared also in the movie "Charlie's Angels 2 - Full Throttle", as the stunt double of Cameron Diaz during the surfing scenes. In those scenes, she was surfing Pipeline !
She was also invited in the show of Diane Sawyer, "Good Morning America", in July to talk about the explosion of women surfing.
Finally, since a long time, Lisa is working on a movie based on her own story, when she decided to become a world champion.
"I'm working with Warner Brothers on a movie," said Lisa. "It's still being worked on script-wise. It's on the backburner at the moment, it's been going on for seven years, and once it happens it happens." She added "It's a bit weird having your life story being made into a film. I still feel so young and like there's so much to do. The movie only spans up to my first world title, otherwise we could go on forever."
